2025 Bootcamp Recap

Curious Builder BOOTCAMP

May 12-16, 2027
ULUM Moab

Reset. Refresh. Refocus.

The Curious Builder Bootcamp is heading to ULUM Moab, surrounded by the red rock landscape of southern Utah.

This immersive retreat is built to get you out of your routine and into experiences that challenge you physically, mentally, and personally. Through canyoneering, hiking, trail runs, group workouts, intentional reflection, and time outdoors, we’ll push limits, build resilience, and create space to reset and reconnect.

Between adventures, we’ll slow things down with great food, meaningful conversations, and time together at ULUM. The goal isn’t extreme endurance. It’s about doing hard things, stepping outside your comfort zone, and heading home stronger, clearer, and ready for what’s next.

What You Can Expect

Morning Mindset & Journaling

Start each day with quiet reflection and intentional goal-setting. Before the rush of activity, we carve out time for mindfulness and personal journaling —helping you reset, refocus, and take ownership of your growth.

Movement & Challenge

Each morning kicks off with a trail run or light workout — designed to wake up your body and get you grounded before the day’s main adventure. Every challenge is an opportunity to push limits and expand your mental resilience.

Unplug & Connect

Step away from the noise — no phones, no distractions, just the experience. Fully immerse yourself in nature, break from the daily grind, and reconnect with what matters. As the day winds down, gather around the family style dinner for a meal, stories, and real conversations with like-minded entrepreneurs.

Pushing Limits in the Wild

From canyoneering to exploring the surroundings, each day is packed with activities that challenge both mind and body. This isn’t about extreme endurance — it’s about stepping outside your comfort zone and embracing the thrill of adventure.

Addison Bain

Addison Bain is a performance coach with over 14 years of experience in elite-level coaching, strength and conditioning, and athlete development. His journey began in the saddle—racing BMX and road bikes at a young age before going on to compete internationally for teams including Fort Lewis College, Lindenwood University, and the Fuji Geox Test Team in Belgium.

A near-fatal car crash in 2010 ended his racing career and marked a powerful pivot into coaching. Since then, Addison has built a career around helping athletes train, recover, and perform at their highest potential. He spent eight years competing in CrossFit—progressing from local throwdowns to the international stage—which further fueled his passion for human performance and adaptability.

Addison has coached a wide range of athletes, from everyday individuals to Olympians. He has owned and operated two training facilities: Farmhouse Performance Lab in Minnesota and LAB One Two in Arkansas—where he led both community-based wellness programs and elite-level cycling development for youth, professionals, and USA National Team athletes.

Today, Addison continues to coach athletes across North America. He splits his time between Minneapolis—where he leads performance development at EffectUs Athletics—and traveling with PerformX out of Vancouver, supporting action sports athletes through strength and conditioning programs tailored to the demands of their seasons.

Whether it’s surfing the North Shore of Lake Superior or riding and running singletrack across the country, Addison brings a grounded, global perspective to everything he does—rooted in discipline, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to athlete growth.
